App explanation
1. Red dot
The red dot shows your pet's last known location on the map.
2. Status bar
Here you will see:
- The date and time of the last update.
- The battery percentage.
- Whether the tracker is in sleep mode or active.
Is the date and time in red letters?
Then the tracker is indoors or it is not yet active and cannot connect to satellites.
As soon as your pet moves outside, this will change to white. Then the PawFindGPS is active.
3. Bluetooth – light
When this icon lights up, it means your phone is connected to the PawFindGPS tracker via Bluetooth.
If it doesn't light up? Then the battery may be dead or there is no connection.
With this button, you can make the light flash (for about 30 seconds). After that, it stops automatically.
4. Bluetooth – sound
When this icon lights up, it means your phone is connected to the PawFindGPS tracker via Bluetooth.
If it doesn't light up? Then the battery may be dead or there is no connection.
With this button, you can play a sound on the PawFindGPS (for about 30 seconds). After that, it stops automatically.
5. SUPER LIVE mode
This button only works when the tracker is active (white).
Normally, the tracker sends a location update every 120 seconds, for example. With SUPER LIVE, this is temporarily increased to every 10 seconds.
You can use this function as often as you want, but be aware of extra battery consumption.
6. Playback history
Here you can view your pet's route history: from 1 minute ago to 1 month back.
You can also enable the heat map here with the slider.
7. Navigation button
This button automatically navigates you to the last known location on the map.
8. Hide status bar
With this button, you can hide the bar from point 2. We recommend keeping it visible.
9. Virtual Fence
On / off.
10. Location centering
Clicking this automatically places the red dot in the center of the map.
11. Map view
Here you choose between: normal map or satellite view (aerial photo). Our preference is the satellite view.
12. Measure distance
An easy way to measure the distance between two or more points that you can select yourself.
13. Zoom in and out
This allows you to zoom in and out on the map. You can also do this with two fingers on the screen.
14. Notifications (B)
Here you receive notifications for low battery (± 10% / 20%) and Virtual Fence alerts.
15. Settings (A)
This is an important button. The explanation for this can be found in the next image.
PawFindGPS – Gebruikershandleiding
1. Virtual Fence
With the Virtual Fence, you set up a virtual area where your pet can safely stay. As soon as your pet leaves this area, you will immediately receive a notification on your phone.
Important:
This feature works most reliably in an area with a minimum diameter of 100 meters.
In smaller zones, inaccuracies or false alarms may occur due to GPS signal differences or reduced reception.
Our advice: Set the virtual fence to a minimum of 100 meters for optimal performance.
2. Tracking Frequency (Location Update Frequency)
Here you set how often the tracker sends a location update.
We recommend:
180 seconds for an optimal balance between accurate tracking and battery consumption.
You can also set how often the tracker provides updates when the PawFindGPS is in the safe zone (your WiFi zone).
We recommend:
10,800 seconds (3 hours) within the safe zone to save battery.
3. Features in Development
These features are currently still under development. At this time, they do not affect the use of your PawFindGPS tracker.
4. Remote Off
This function allows you to remotely switch off the PawFindGPS tracker.
In most cases, this is not necessary. The tracker automatically switches to an energy-saving sleep mode when no activity is detected.
5. Add Terminal (Add Tracker)
With this option, you can add a second PawFindGPS tracker to your account. Ideal if you have multiple pets.
6. Terminal Details
This function is generally not applicable for standard use. Only use this option if our customer service specifically asks you to.
7. WiFi Hotspot
Here you can select your home WiFi. When the PawFindGPS tracker detects this WiFi signal:
The tracker automatically switches to sleep mode.
Battery consumption is significantly reduced.
This is ideal when your pet is at home (within WiFi range).
8. Firmware Update
Through this button, you can update your PawFindGPS tracker to the latest software version.
We periodically implement improvements and updates. By checking regularly, your tracker will always remain up-to-date and optimally functional.
